MONICA UGARTE – CONTEMPORARY ART

I’m in the habit of provoking, questioning, prompting reflection, moving and inspiring observation through my research about geometric abstraction. I create abstract, sculptural, kinetic art works. Each one a unique universe different from the next, arrived at through research that goes beyond the reality that surrounds us, thoughtful, disintegratory observation. I go on to construct something new starting from this foundation. The infinite towards the smallness and greatness, opposites perpendiculars and equals, suspended shapes, inclusions, successives rotations, chained systems, the dialog between light and shape, optical illusions, fractals, unstructuring shapes are themes that interest me to work on.

Geometric abstraction is a parallel univers to be discovered, a kind of travel towards infinite.
